To go along with the "truck got dirty" thread in the quadcab pics section and to go along with this quote from Sterling...

"Unfortunately I took the direction of a couple of local farmer's kids who told me "I can show you a good spot. LOL. " Yeah great, it was half cow shit! The pics at night show the darkness of the mud before the rain knocked some of it off. What it doesn't give you is the smell. It took me the better part of 2 hrs. to get it all off, and I haven't even started cleaning under the hood. I definitely prefer train riding, or rock crawling instead."

Anyone who ever wants to have a discussion on how much cleaning mud off a truck is a PitA i will definately have a sit down talk with you...

lol in the one where i was stuck i honestly thought i was going to be leaving it....the truck we were with was a stock k5 blazer and he couldn't budge me...the blue k5 is on 38's with a built 350 and it took him snatching me hard as hell a good 6 or 7 times and us laying on the gas to get my truck out of the mud so yea...it was an eventful day that's for sure

oh and the best way to clean a truck is to drive it into a river....
i love a good hurricane....all the water pictures were taken after some hurricans last summer and the water was up about 10 feet....where i was driving down the road it was about 4 feet deep or more and water was coming in the doors and the back of the truck was floating in the water

Iguess i should have found a river to help clean the bottom of the truck! I still found large amounts of mud on the frame and up behind the rear bumper. Nice pics by the way.
2000 QC, SLT 4x4. 4.7L auto, 3.92LS. 3" P.A. Body Lift, 33" ProComp AT's. NGK 2262's, Royal Purple throughout drivetrain, clear corners, and a bunch of little stuff not worth mentioning.

:headbang Great pics! Man, those hurricane ones are pretty freaky to think about. Especially considering the back end of your truck was starting to float. LOL

That's crazy. I don't think I'd go through that much water unless I had to.

Got Mud

It takes me 4 hrs to clean the truck up after a good off road trip. I use the large power washer at work to get the bulk of it off then lay on a old creaper with the garden hose at home and flush the rest of the under side of the truck out. Its not perfect, but it works.

It takes me about 4 hours to completely clean and set-up a bass. I mean COMPLETELY, like EVERYTHING, which is only a new bass and every few years. Regular monthly cleaning only take about 30minutes per bass, including string change, but that add up when you have about 6 basses (like me).

So 4 hours to clean a truck after off-roading isn't too bad, IMO.
